The machine is a side by side fridge freezer. Model SXD 52VW.
Not only is the compressor out of stock until mid April it also going to cost £320.PART NO AR 8201733
The original is a 134a made in Brazil with the following markings TP 102JR003B8 and TPA 1410YXC E1100.
Any engineer had any problems fitting a Danfoss or equivalent as this Brazilian looks quite compact and I doubt I’d be able to use lokrings as its fitted into a rather tight space.
ALSO has anyone managed to successfully use 600a components on these models?
There was a lot of talk about how important it was to keep the lubricating oils for R12 and R 134a separate.
Do you think it adequate to only change the dryer? or would you suggest extra purging of the system to clear out all traces of oil?
sorry chaps but you cant fit r600 compressors to a machine designed to run on r134a as the appliance is not intrinsicly safe you would be liable beyond belief !!!!!!!!!!! …….. ive no doubt it would work but is far from safe……… dont do it
