❓ Any ides as to why excess condensation is forming on the glass shelves in miele larder fridges. I’ seen two cases so far. I suppose the problem could happen with other brands with glass shelves.
    Thanks in advance,

Possibly loads of fresh veg in it, seen that happen on some of the Smeg FAB28’s etc. as they “breathe” and cause excess condensation. Other than that the only thing I can think of is an ingress of ambient air.

    Tom,

My folks had the same problem on their Hotpoint.
Inside the fridge at the back there is a hole that takes away excess water which should be kept clean and unblocked.

Well the water is supposed to drain onto the compressor and evaporate away. Turns out the compressor was generating too much heat which passed up the pipe, through the hole and caused the condensation.

Do not know how to fix the problem as the fridge was replaced with a different model…..!
