be gentle when you pull the stat out, ive known the two wires to be very very short and they can spring back out of sight 😉

There is also a reversing timer in the base that does fail causing no heat fault.

Hi I had the same problem the drier was turning and blowing air but was cold. To fit the drier it was either the thermostats or the heater element. The thermostats are green spot and were £3:50 for two and the heater element was anywhere from £40:00 to £96:00 so I just replaced the thermostats. I thought it was worth a try for £3:50. Put the new ones on and it started to heat the air straight away. I would advise anyone to try just changing the thermostats first before spending money on heater element that you might not need.

The original post is 10 years old, and the thermostats are mentioned in the original and subsequent posts. 🙁
