Do you all remember the great launch of the Merloni smart cards , “Merloni And Connect Partnership”
I dont know how many variations there are but Connect only seem to stock ONE the rest of them are special orders so if one fails while you are trying to programme a module 😥 then it’s a least another month before you can get another 😥 You would have thought they would have got their act together by now.
I don’t think Mpart are holding many more either 😥March 18, 2009 at 10:32 pm #280470maltheviking

I looked up the Hotpoint welded tub again today and it’s a good job I did. 😡 It is now showing as being in stock. I then checked the past invoices but they showed that the part had still not been sent out. I had deliberately not ordered anything else with the tub assembly because they would have sent the items that were in stock straight away and would not then send the tub until I placed a further order AFTER the part came into stock. I naturally assumed by ordering the part on its own it would be treated like a new order when the tub was available. This is not how they work though, they were treating it like any other back-order.
I rang them and they are going to send it out today. They asked if I need anything else. I said I do need a Creda fan oven element but will order it from Masterpart, who sell it for about half the price of Connect. 😆March 23, 2009 at 10:15 am #280472electrofix

had the rep in from electrue and decided to open account
was not happy giving my home address as i consider this to be private and i have been here for 30 years but bye the bye i did and he sent off the paperwork
it came back about a week later with a request for a direct debit mandate on my account. now this to me is a non starter giving a supplier access to your account to tase money when they feel like it even if you consider some invoices in dispute
i was not in a good mood that morn but when i got this letter i phoned the rep and took it out on his answerphone i still want to know why he did not tell me about this and if he did not know why he works for the shower of idiots i would not have applied for the account on these terms

Just refuse to sign it. They are not in a position to turn down new business these days. You sometimes get asked to give bank references when you open an account with a new supplier. I’ve never provided these but the only firm to consequently refuse me credit terms was Crum & Sons (Qualtex).

The only reason they are good, is because they stock the wierd little things other people don’t. Beside that, I can’t think of a good thing to say about them.
Everytime I deal with them lately, something goes t1ts-up, and I don’t even get a sorry from the generic telephone-monkey!
They suck! :protest:Hi…i can help you..please give me a call on 01795 596750 ext 201 or 210
