Connect prices

I was looking for a grill element for a Fisher Paykel oven Connect are going to charge me £49.58 with the vat and postage, out of curiosity i googled for an element and was quoted £50 including postage after checking this company it turns out it is connect selling to the public, and thats me supposed to be on top discount, so much for trade prices,,,,,,,,,,,,

last fisher and paykel oven i saw it was a Neff rebadged

you can register with connect to send one item at a lower postage meant to be used to send parts direct to customer

always find connect dear rep said he would look at discounts but Qualtex get most of my business at the mo

I got a couple of phone calls the other week about how my spend with them has dropped, wanting to know if it is my workload is tailing off, i told them then it was the price structure and i use anybody else now and only use them if i’m stuck, a servis module connect wanted approx £100 both qualtex and masterpart wanted about £32 plus vat how they can justify it is beyond me it can make the differance of getting the job or not. JJ

I always google part numbers before ordering anything from connect.
I have had three recent incidents when the price on retail sites were considerably less than “trade” two by 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} :eeek:

Wouldn’t do my hard earned reputation any good if the customer comes back and asks why I charged £109 for a part that they could have bought for £55 online.

Needed a whirlpool dishwasher wash pump 481236158434 and thought I would go to connect as I hadn’t ordered a lot from them lately 1 at 94-49 or could have 2 + at 44-64 so went back to good old Qualtex 43-38. I used to quote a retail price about the same as that on Currys Partmaster site but of late I,ve found that this is often lower than trade from connect on some items
