Parcels get to me 4 days after leaving Birmingham if i’m lucky.
I live in N Ireland, none of my e-mails concerning late delivery have been answered by CDSL.
One recent order arrived 10 days after being despatched it arrived the same day as another parcel ordered a week later and was delivered to the wrong address, lucky they were relatives!
DHL are the couriers too.October 16, 2007 at 7:24 am #229956Phidom

Well my last 2 orders to Connect have not been sent by DHL. Ah, they are trying someone else to get stuff there quicker, you are thinking to yourselves! Well think again, both have been sent by Royal Mail, who are themselves still in total chaos :rolls: One parcel was posted on the 10th so I suppose I can expect it some time toward the end of the month 👿 This includes a fan oven element to replace one ordered from Homespares on the 2nd but never received. The Homespares one is no doubt lost in their new warehouse somewhere.

Just had a parcel delivered by DHL ordered onthe 4th. A few calls to Connect in the meantime (fobbed off to ring DHL myself on Monday who promised to phone bach but didn’t), the latest being today when I logged a complaint.
Just been called by Connect to see if it’s arrived, by someone with a long list of complaints about …..you guessed it. Looks like the penny may have dropped 😉TC

I dont use Connect – I mainly use Qualtex and I’ve got to say if you order by 2pm you usually get the part delivered the next day! Cant think of an instance when I didn’t. I think they use fed ex as couriers 🙂 So it can be done!

Don’t ya just love it when you place a small ‘one off’ order with Connect, they simply stuff it in a Jiffy bag and post it snail mail then charge you ‘£6.46 Carriage Charge’ :rolls:

To be fair to them Martin we get that as well selling online and you have to remember the costs involved to…
Buy the Jiffy bag
Unpack the Jiffy bag
Pick the part
Pack the part
Print the label
Print the invoice
Postage costI’m not saying that it costs £6.46 or whatever to do all that or that it’s always justified. But, I do think that some carriage and packaging charges are perfectly acceptable, especially on small orders as the margin isn’t in it to pay for all the above. I do think that most of the spares suppliers are pretty reasonable on this and they mostly all offer free carriage after a certain order value is reached which is fair enough IMO.

i hate to buck the trend but when i order from connect i always get it the next day
the only thing i have is sometimes there delivered at 10:30am
other times they are delivered at 5:30pm
but there shouldn`t complain 🙂October 19, 2007 at 8:21 am #229963roly16

🙂It’s even dafter than you think. Look up this one on Connect’s site: ELE4252.
Buy one: £19.29 ea.
Buy two: £6.75 ea.Have to say though that my rep at their office, Andy Cutler, phones me every week to see if I’ve got any probs and normally deals with them straight away.

I`m with Petalpop here. I`ve dealt with Connect since 1993 and use them for 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my spares. Never a problem that they don`t sort out and if they don`t I phone the rep.
Seem to get decent prices too. I`ve had other companys reps in but they cannot compete.

Never heard anything from a rep for three years, even when they were meant to phone me back r.e. returns 😥

Not having access to their site (anymore….), you’ll have to explain the point.
