Connector on 481236158434 Dishwasher Motor

Hello
I have just purchased the above motor/pump to replace the “Big Askoll” pump that failed in my Firenze DW930/1 dishwasher from yourselves – Speedy service, thanks.

Before I connect the pump I want to confirm the wiring, as the old pump has a 2way connector on it and the new a 3way connector. The 2way connector is keyed and only fits one way around in the 3way connecter on the new pump, but I want to be sure that this is ok before continuing.

Or is there any way to confirm the wiring by using a DVM?

The motor plug is keyed so you can’t really make a mistake on this. For reference, when fitted, the plug wires will be at the bottom. 😉 Make sure you secure the motor mounting plate to the 2 holes in the back panel – lift the motor up so the 2 tabs fit in their respective slots and fix the plate to the machine using self tapping screws. (Hint:- you can pinch the 2 screws from the old pump’s coil cover – they are a perfect fit).

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll connect up tomoroow and probably loose more skin in the process due to the sharp edges of the metalwork!
