A customer said something to me today which got me thinking.

With all the clever electronics in washing machines, could or would a manufacture programme in faults to happen in the future. Or perhaps have a machine fail after 1000 hours of use, or after 1000 wash cycles.

    It made me think

    Before someone else says it.

I know that the term “clever electronics” doesn’t apply to indesit machines

If you look at failure patterns you may suspect that there’s not much to uncover. 😉

And, it doesn’t just apply to electronics.

If you’ve ever done warranty/insurance work on any sort of scale you quickly spot “patterns”.

A very well known Printer Co, sets a print limit on thier printers you can get software on cdrom to reset the page count and it all works again. The display tells the user to call their helpline, and an engineer calls to clean the printer and service it, at a price.

That takes the Indesit Co out of the loop then. 😈
