cooker and dryer need repair

Hi, I have 2 probe…so 2 questions.

1) my dryer (hotpont tdc62) no longer heats. I know the prob is either elements, or thermostat…but how do I tell which?
2) My Bosch cooker keeps sparking Jon stop if I switch the power on…even if all rings are lit. This has been the same for months..so I believe it is not moisture related – probably the igniter? How difficult is this to replace? Happy to DIY….but would like to know the difficulty level before hand…and wherher this is defo the igniter..

Lastly, does anyone know of any engineers in SW London that would do a site visit at a fixed rate, then charge me for the parts – to fix these 2 issues(given that they are pretty simple problems?)
