looking for a cable size chart if possible, looking to install a freestanding cooker rated at 11.4 kw ( the orginal oven and cable are 30years old) I assume this needs replacing when installing new cooker,ie (from outlet box to cooker) need to know cable size needed as 6mm seems be ok ,but could be under size if all elements are use at once!!
    any advice please. John

10mm as total load for your cooker could be 49 Amps

Because of diversity, some terminals wont take a 10mm cable. Look in the manufactures instructions and they will tell you what rating is needed, it will be either 45amp or 32amp, or 6mm or 8mm

check the manufactures instructions and then check the size of the cable at the cooker connection box and at the fuse distibution box, no good connecting it to 8 or 10mm if its only supplied by 6mm and fused 30amp.
