Got my first Amica call on a cooker this afternooon.

    Model51EE1.30PFG

Apparently door off and hinge broken. It is in rented property so ‘may’ be subject to rough handling.

I just wondered if there any known problems with the hinges on these?

Looks as though I will need a complete door for this if such a thing is available.

Sadly I am unable to access the Amica parts web site, the login I received will not work and one the Anne ‘loaned’ me will not work either. 😥

    Re: Cooker door hinges?

Had to fit a complete door assembly, old one was in several bits. :rolls:

I have to say that at just over £30 for complete door inc hinges it is very cheap but a little bit of though in the design would have prevented this failure.

The door is double skinned and the handle is screwed through the outer glass panel which is then glued onto two long metal struts into which fit the inner glass panel and the hinges.

This means that every time you open the door you are pulling against the adhesive, it would have been better to extend the door handle screws right through to the metal struts.
