cooker hood chimney fitting

Hi, i have to fit a new cooker hood for a letting agent, the stainless steel chimney is to tall what do you guys
use to cut them , I cant lower the hood to accommodate it due to thick wall tiles.

Nightmare to cut IME, using hand or power to do it as the steel’s so thin it flops about making a neat job nigh impossible. I don’t know if anyone’s had more luck than I did though.
