Participantthis hood doesn’t have brand on it but i need a transformer to run 2 12v lights. i got one off ebay but it only run 1 light of course. the model comes up on connect but is an out of stock item and expensive. thanks

why does the transformer you have not run both lamps ?
what wattage are the lamps ?

Participantit’s 30w transformer i got not sure the wattage of 12v bulbs but connected together just dim flashing bulbs.

Moderator30w is never going to be enough. expect lamps to be at least 20w each so you need at least a 40va transformer
there are lots around with outputs around 100va which is lots to spare
your overloading the transformer and its shutting down. in fact its an electronic transformer if it was a normal transformer it would just overheat

since it seems to be CDA you could ring them and see if they still supply a spare for it. It may be dearhad one recently transformer from manufacturer £80 similar transformer of Amazon £15
have you still got the old transformer ?

or
depends on whether you can put both cables in one end
also check lamps are correct size should be 20w each as these lamps are available in bigger sizes and they still fit so overload transformers
