    Hi

Can someone recommend me a decent reliable cooker chimney extractor brand please?

    I am looking for:
    90cm+ Chimney extractor
For a medium to large size kitchen (open plan kitchen diner (6m x 5m)
    Preferably under £400

There are so many brands out there that vary in price. I dont really want to be paying for just the badge that does the same thing as one that is half the price.

    Thanks

its always a hard one this. the main thing is access to spares and consumables when you need them. One firm Elica makes for other people as well so other makes may be the same
    beware of cheap chinese imports

Thanks for your reply. I was actually looking at the Elica Claire 90cm. It has a good extraction rate that meets my needs and is aesthetically pleasing too. But is it a reliable piece of kit? Its around £350 so within my budget.

Oh yes umpiring a Devon league match 🙂

Elica are one of the top brands in cooker hoods, very reliable and functional. The model you are looking at has an extremely good extraction rate of 713 cubic metres per hour. Assuming your kitchen is 3 metres tall you have approx 90 cu metres the hood will refresh the air every 7 minutes or so. So you could run it on mid power and still get a very good refresh rate.

You can get plenty of options under £400. Just check out reliable brands and consider the size of your kitchen.

If you’re still looking for a reliable cooker hood, I’d recommend checking out the different brands available in the market. Just keep in mind your budget and the size of your kitchen. If you’re looking to add a touch of luxury to your kitchen, have you considered brass custom range hoods? These hoods not only look stylish, but they’re also highly functional and will make a statement in any kitchen. Just make sure you measure your kitchen space accurately to ensure you get a hood that fits your needs and budget. I’m sure they can serve you longer and perfectly fit into your kitchen.
