We are getting our kitchen redone, and planning to purchase an integrated cooker hood.

The one that we like the look of is made by AEG, but AEG (& Zanussi) service in our area is, er, very poor.

However, if AEG hoods never break down, or if any fool can repair them, then the fact that service cover is poor doesn’t really bother us.

So how reliable / fixable are integrated cooker hoods in general? And specifically, how reliable / fixable are AEG ones?

(The obvious lternatives are Miele, which is expensive – and Hotpoint, whose integrated hood is not very powerful.)

Usually better as Elica specialise in hoods. 😉

Oh, I forgot to say that Elica spares are ludicrously cheap as well, a huge plus IMO as when you do need them, they won’t break the bank. Even the consumable, like filters that you need on some models are pretty reasonable.

    Thanks for that.

However, my wife has decided that she wants the AEG one.
