Cooker Hoods

Hi Guys,

I have tried to do a search on this as I believe this question came up a few months ago. I just need to know if the like for like replacement of a cooker hood is Part P notifiable?. A further complication of this particular job is that nowhere could either myself or the householder find a fused spur for the existing hood. Surely the regulations dictate that the spur should be in a readily accessible location.

Sorry Mike, I and others probably missed this.

Depends when it was done and it strikes me that kitchen fitters are, shall we say, a bit lax when it comes to fitting hoods. If it’s hard wired into the ring then the customer will probably need a spark to install a spur.
