    Hi,
We have a De Dietrich FX 4827e33 double oven, and it would appear the fan heating element has failed. (Fan still works).
Having viewed the part and forum on this site thought it would be a fairly easy job to do. Access is from inside the oven – heres the problem – the two securing nuts holding the plate over the element and fan just keep turning..ie not actually unscerwing. The plate remains frimly fixed. 🙁 –

So then I thought I would have to attack it from the back…having looked it seems impossible. I have thought about drilling the two nuts out…but I fear that will create other problems !!
Is this now a terminal problem 😯 ie time to treat she who must be obeyed to a new oven ?? 😥
    Any advice ? Thanks.

    Re: Cooker problem

If you have turned the screws inside the oven, you will have loosened the studs in the mounting bracket. This element is designed to be removed from the back of the oven. You may not have any alternative now but to drill off the heads of the screws from inside the oven. No problems will be caused by doing this, but take care.
Then take the nuts off the studs as you will need them to fit the new element. All in all, an easy job. 😉

Power off before any work starts!! :plug:

    HTH,

    Steve.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply….I was convinced the access was via the inside of the oven rather than the back…but will have another look…I dont remember seeing any studs or obvious access to the element when I took off the rear panel… 😯 . Ill have a closer look and post the results by the weekend. Thanks again.
