ParticipantHello everyone,
I have an Electrolux EOB53001x, the oven has a function to run both the grill and oven at the same time, but when I select the function the fan will only come on if the temperature dial is set to zero.
Does anyone know why this has starters to do this?
Many thanks
Dave

There are 2 fans, a cirulation fan at rear of oven which circulates hot air & a horizontal tangental cooling fan on top of oven which cools control area.
I’m thinking cooling fan should run on oven setting if temperature is above 70c & continue to run until temp is below 70c.
On grill setting cooling fan should run immediately.Do you nean fan assisted grilling by any chance? This would mean when grill is selected rear oven fan should run.

The function is called and described as follows in the manual:
Thermal Grilling: this item offers an alternative method of cooking food items, normally associated with conventional grilling. The grill element and the oven fan operate together, circulating hot air around food
At the moment i select the function on the dial, light comes on, fan starts up, then when I turn the temp dial the fan goes off.
Do you know which part I will need to replace to get the fan working again?
Many thanks for your help
Dave

Have you checked the control, is there a selector switch on rear of the temperature control, perhaps its simply moved on shaft.

I checked that, seems ok, and it all still works fine in the normal oven function, it’s just this function that has problems

never could cook, except beans on toast-so dont realy understand the idea behind this function but THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD WORK so you do not have a fault.with this function selected and the thermostat calling for heat-the grill elements are energised then when the stat is satisfied it switches off the elements and the fan ON.this continues until
the oven cools down then repeates -
