KeymasterHi
im looking for a replacement element for the Bernstein groups (in administration) branded “cookers” fan-assisted oven
Had one replaced before under guarantee by caremark and the bag has the following details.FSE12VAN To replace V/S used on 632
xfer no: 27014
Part no: 76×3719
description: resistor 2000w 230vI understand this 76×3719 is the same part used in proline EF6200w ovens
ive tried sparesrus but they seem to be offline for ordering.
Ive read here that it may be possible to use a 3 turn Homark element as a replacement as it lasts longer. If so canany one guide me to the the correct part to order as the ones i have found seem to be 2500w 240v.
Will this cause a problem or are they ok to use.
all help appreciatedthanks 😆

KeymasterHiya,
Thay element is actually made, or supplied at least, on Elco Brandt built appliances and it was out of stock for a bit not so long ago but I haven’t checked it in a while.
Dave should be able to sort you one out in the morning without any trouble.

If you don’t mind a bit of adaptation, the Ariston one will fit which you can get from the shop here:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/2040-coo … an-element
Or I can get the original Brandt one in a few days for you at £30.43 inc VAT and post etc.
The 3 turn one on sparesrus won’t fit physically, it’s for different Homark models and the wattage is 500w more.

is there much difference with the ariston in terms of fitting ? or is it just non original that is the difference?if it requires modification to the fitting Is the proline one a more suitable replacement ?

Only the two main fixings from memory, they are in the same place and the element is the same size but the original has threaded holes and the Ariston one doesn’t, normally just a case of fixing it with a nut and bolt.

We’ve now had this from AOL (which is no great shock ;)) and two people not on AOL but not a slew of errors that I’d expect.
I use the site with IE6 as well as Mozilla extensively and have no issues at all on four PC’s using two different ISP’s and I cannot re-create the error. I have also tried going back through several versions of IE in an attempt to find out why this happens and the short answer is I can’t. I have also done some scanning on support forums et all and even they don’t shed any light.
The only thing I can assume it is would have to be some sort of firewall issue, ISP issue or a settings issue within the browser being used as if it were not then, as I said, I’d have slews of people telling me the same thing. 😕
Not a lot of help I know, but as I cannot isolate the problem or see the cause I can’t put it right.

I think I know which one you need, I’ve had the same problem before with these Brandt made cookers.
Send them both to me at the return address on the label stuck to the packaging.
I’ll then send the correct one back to you after I’ve physically matched it up.
Dave.
