    Hi Guys,
A week ago the bottom element went on my cookers appliances(homark??) 05-600407 cooker. I have found places on the net that sell new elements but i was planning on trying to fit it myself? I cant seem to find find detailed user manuals anywhere and the more i look into the cookers appliances company the more confusing it all becomes, as the company apparently went into liquidation?
So yes i would like to try and replace the element myself so was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge on this cooker make and model?

Also when i had an electrician check the cooker over he said that the cooker was live on parts it shouldnt be? as in the inside casing? why would this be?

    Thanks for your help.

    Laura.

Laura, my advice would be to call in a professional, perhaps consult your electrician friend again. Because of the safety factor and the need to carry out an effective insulation test on the appliance as a whole. Repairs are not difficult or expensive but best left to someone with experience.

For your convenience HERE is the ‘Find a local Engineer’ page. 🙂
