ParticipantHi,
I have the above mentioned cooker which has an electric grill. When I turned the grill off the other night something blew behind the control panel. Ever since, the fan hasn’t worked when the grill is on. However, the fan came on when the grill was switched off after use (it used to stay on for about 5 mins after the grill had been turned off).
I took the panel off today and discovered the wire from the switch to (what I think is a thermostat) had blown.
I’ve now repaired this wire, but now the fan is on constantly!
Do I need to replace this thermostat?
I have attatched a link to a few pictures of the wire and probable thermostat.
Many Thanks.

Looking at your pictures it appears the wire that blew was connected to the blue component? (grill simmerstat) If that’s the case then yes you will need to replace it.
Have a look in Shop@ for it, otherwise an email to spares@ukwhitegoods quoting the model details, plus any details on the part itself will produce results 😉Don’t forget, power off before doing anything :zap:

Thanks for your reply Clive,
The blue component is what the Knob is connected to through the facia.
So do you not think it is the little yellow doodah which has the yellow wire going in and out of and also a live?
