ParticipantI have had an issue for some time with my oven as the cooling fan stopped turning off even when the oven had cooled down. I put this down to a faulty thermostat and got around the problem by simply turning the oven off after it had cooled down.
Recently however the cooling fan has started to squeal for a short period when turned on and now sounds like a braying donkey.
So I would appreciate some advice on the replacement of the cooling fan and its corresponding control thermostat.
I think the fan required is a tangential cooling fan motor shown as SKU 00496076 on this site but another cooling fan is also shown for my model that is not a tangential type SKU 00490780. This leaves me a little confused as I am not sure which it is.
The Cooling Fan Control Thermostat SKU 00154836 has my model listed so appears to be what I need.
Does anyone have an idea where this thermostat is located? is it wired in series with the fan so it is simply a case of following the wiring? or is there an interposing relay.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.April 5, 2022 at 7:03 pm #481859electrofix

ParticipantThanks Dave, Would this be the control Thermistat that is not turning off my current fan?
and if so do you know where it is located?

Moderatordiagrams show it mounted above the grill area but i have no way of knowing if there is more then one control point
to check, find the stat and pull one wire off and see if the fan stops. you will have to isolate oven while you do this
