    Been called to look at a CoolMatic HDC160 24V Boat Fridge, motor doesn’t start, it runs for a few sec’s seems to be labouring, then stops. Theres a Danfoss starter on the side of compressor. Theres a component like a Triac mounted on a heatsink to the frame of fridge (floor at base on back) this component is fizzled, has got wet & one leg is obviously broken off it. What is this triac? transistor? Does it pevent start up? or do i need a new Starter/Relay box?

    So there’s a 24v-mains inverter to run it? Likely the device is the driver for the inverter then…
