That being the case and, I for one appreciate your honesty Lawrence and you have my sympathy in dealing with all that you have to, the TA needs to appoint a “Big Giant Head” ASAP to carry things forward.
Applicants must be incredibly tenacious and annoying with a willingness to get things done. Oh and, slightly insane to take it on. 😉
But I do have another little request if you will indulge me for a moment….
Can we please formalise roles and responsibilities to some degree?
I’d like to see more structure to things and, TBH, professionalism in the way stuff is done and not just as ad hoc as it has been. I don’t mean for a moment that anyone gets locked into a “it’s not my job guv” type affair but a bit more of a clue about who deals with what would be nice.
Obviously with Lawrence taking a step back and what I know Ade is up to, this is actually quite important so you don’t end up with a rudderless ship as neither of them will have the time to invest for now.

I thought that we had talked about roles when we had the meeting at Coventry .
All that I can remember is that Brian said that he would assist ID cards and Steve said that he would chase membership enquiries.
Chris probably sent me over some minutes but ill be darned if I can find them

I have no issue getting the COP approved. I’m quite busy at the moment but fortunately, am single 😀 ! So I have evenings free (most times) that I could persue things & I can ALWAYS find time through the day to email / call or write to the OFT if needed.
If you can email me whatever correspondance you have Lawrence, that would be appreciated & also the COP! I can’t find it in my folders 🙁
I’m quite happy to take ownership of the COP, the other stuff, can be sorted between you lot…?

No probs with that, Lawrence, but I feel a bit ‘at sea’ on this as we need the COP to recruit new members. Chicken and egg situation ATM. 😕 I am at limit with my workload and even after employing another engineer to spread the load, I have realised that it doesn’t necessarily lessen your burden, it just moves its focus. 🙁 (cue Ken’s “told you so….” :D)
I am hoping that I can free up some time after Christmas to help push this forward. Are there signs that something’s happening with the OFT before February?Steve.

I’m alone in the office next week (Tuesday, Wed & Thurs), I cannot see it being extremely busy, so if I can have the new contact details of the person at the OFT, maybe I could try speak to him & see exactly what is acceptable for monitoring the COP…?
We can then go from there…?

OK… Monday morning, I’m locking myself in my office for an hour to speak to the relevant person at the OFT to see EXACTLY where we are, what’s needed etc to progress so as when we sit down on Friday night to thrash out the COP stuff, I’ll be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} up to speed with the COP application.
