Regretfully I was not at the meeting so I don’t know what was discussed in the matter of Corgi training.
I have been informed that Comet are now putting engineers through their Corgi training by sending them out on 10 jobs and are then able to do the week and get their ticket.
I know one engineer personally that has just done it!

Frankly, that’s not only devious IMO but also potentially seriously dangerous!
To train someone in the use of a manometer and a glob of common sense takes time and not everyone is CORGI material in such a short space of time. I’ve yet to meet an engineer that’s not capable, but capable coupled with confident and competetant is a whole other ball game.
I wonder what CORGI would think of it?
