ModeratorWD420. Pump blocked, cleared and machine now works fine except for Door Locked neon. Door does lock and machine functions perfectly but the Door Lock neon is U/S. Did not have time to strip down to check and the diagram on Partfinder is not too clear in this area.
Are the neons separate, or are they part of the console module?

CTD00.
Failed capacitor ( as well as drum support pulleys and front seal)Partfinder lists the capacitor as 1702213 7UF. The capacitor for the TDC range is listed as 1701581 7UF. Why the two different part numbers. The one on the CTD00 had a metal outer casing, whilst the 1701581 is plastic but as they both have an earthing stud that shouldn’t make any difference should it?

ParticipantYes they are part of the console module and they can be changed iff you are confident at board level,
components , and at soldering .ctd00 . dont change the the surpport wheels use the old style pads there is a place to fit them this
will make it alot smoother and quieter discared
the wheels it was a crap idear loopyApril 13, 2006 at 6:57 pm #173076iadom

the wheels it was a crap idear loopyThanks for reply loopey. I have already done a couple of the 1703273 bearing conversions, and have ordered them for this job, the different capacitor numbers when they have the same rating and terminals still puzzles me though.

As long as it is the same rating i reckon it shouldnt be a problem, beats me why there is so many differant capacitors, is use any one that i have that is the same rating as the one that came off.

Thats what I thought jj, I did plug a 1701581 in to make sure the motor was OK and it worked perfectly. I just have to go back and replace the bearing pads etc, unfortunately the front seal has also come adrift so will have to replace that, managed to get away with that on the last two even though it is in the kit. 😉
