    Hello

I am currently in the process of leaving the Army and looking into white goods engineering and also then moving on to Refrigeration engineering to.

I’m planning on doing the 10 day course which Dixon training provide to get me ready for moving into a new career.

    So my question is
will this course be appropriate to then seek employment?
Has anyone had experience with dixon training?

Guys your help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

    Re: Course Advice

First off the vast majority of potential white goods jobs require experienced engineers. Jobs that require individuals going out in a van unsupervised fixing various brands and types on a basic starting salary (average £18k).

Starting afresh from outside the trade is very limiting. Dixons do a basic course. More comprehensive might be had at the Whitegoods Training Academy. Outside of that is pretty rare indeed as the trade in general is (in my opinion) in decline.

I wish you well whatever.
