whats the difference between the top and bottom oven thermostat

most top oven have the switch section for the grill elements and a lot of them have a different temp scale so if you swop temps may not line up

the next question is why you need to know both seem to be available

they look exactly the same,except m/o is in stock with my retailer at £29 part No 6222800 and t/o stat part No CRE6223489 is out of stock at £79 am i missing something. Dave

6222801 top oven stat is listed as £19.00 at Masterpart, out of stock though.

List price on Partfinder is £50 ex vat for the bottom oven and £54 ex vat for the top oven. 😕

on that stat,6222801 the shaft is at 9 oclock, mine is at 12 oclock. 6223489 is for date code after 7/90c would it fit .Dave
