Had the above today fault was no control panel light. Fitted new tube and starter no joy. Is the tube fed from the small PCB as there is no supply to the the tube or the choke I cant work out how the light is activated as the hotplate controls have no pilot?

Just a thought Goose , I seem to remember some models have a seperate push button switch on the control panel. Could be thinking of main oven lamp but there`s something in the back of my mind about the control panel display light also.

    Hi Bryan
No switch on this model! Its a bit embarrasing as I worked for Creda for 18 years but can’t for the life of me rember how the light is activated on this set up.From memory on the early Concepts the light was was triggered by the pilot light terminal of the energy regs and by the neons on the ovens.

I think it is on this model as well. There’s a common link between all the pilot terminals on the simmerstats and the oven light switch terminal on the two stats, perhaps one has been “squashed” if the hob/control panel has been removed ?

    Dave.
