    Creda 49715J cooker.

Customer insists the facia used to light up when any of the control knobs were turned on. I can only get the fluorescent tube under the facia to light up when I press the ‘hob lamp’ button. There seems to be no wiring to connect the tube to the pilot terminals of the stats. Nor are there any pilot lamps or associated wiring behind the knob indicator barrels. 😕
Does anyone remember if the hob ring simmerstats DO switch the hob fluorescent lamp on? If so, any ideas why it’s not working?
I think she is mistaken; but she is adamant about it and will not be persuaded otherwise!! 🙄
Don’t you just love this type of job??!!! 👿

    Thanks!!!

    Steve.

    Hi

In the user instruction manual it says “The control panel and hob are illuminated when the push switch is operated”

there is no chance of it working as your customer suggests as the only wiring to the light is from the push switch, and nnone at all from control switches.
