creda c 361 eg hob element not regulating

hi all this one is not regulating temp. i changed the energy regulator it made no difference , is it possible the element is not sending a signal to the regulator thanks

Yes indeed but it’s not a “signal” in any sense of the word but a feed monitoring current flow. Or, to put it more simply, it’s in series with the element. So a connection between the two would be suspect.
