Before removing the old regulator I photographed the wiring. When the new regulator arrived the photo was no longer available. Can anyone advise what the connections should be please?April 7, 2015 at 6:17 pm #426340iadom

Photo may not have been much use and even though you should not have disconnected the regulator before offering up the new one it may not have been much use in this case.
That number you have given ‘appears’ to be a Diamong H regulator, I am fairly certain the original ones used on production were Strix so the connections would be slightly different in any case. 🙁A Google may be able to find you a conversion chart, they used to send a connection sheet out with the replacement part but that was before the Indesit Company took control. 🙁

Thanks for the reply. you are correct about the Diamond H regulator. Ordinarily I would replace the wires one for one but I had to remove completely to ascertain part numbers to order the new one. There are loads if images on Google but not one that shows any wiring. Could you re-direct me to this conversion sheet please? or a different Google search?

You do not need to remove any part to identify the part number, the numbers on the parts are for the individual component manufacturers, the appliance manufacturers designate their own part numbers to all components, a quick look up on the spares lists once you have the correct model number is all you need. 😉
I do not have a link to the conversion sheet, it was supplied with new regulators but has not been sent out for many years now. 🙁
Also worth noting that our rules on advice in the public forums state that adice on specific wiring problems will not be given, see rule #8 in the thread at the top of this forum.
