how is the top control panel removed to access the controls illumination on a Creda Canterbury double electric fan oven (model no. 48161)?

All the knobs & buttons have to be pulled off, glass facia is normally secured by screws along the top and side edges. Sometimes you may need to pull the unit out to access some screws from the top or behind.
Be sure to isolate from mains before you do this.
