Creda Concept Solarplus grill alternates on/off continuously

Our Creda Concept Solarplus grill alternates on/off continuously (accompanied by a clicking sound). The model number is 48349. I found a previous thread http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forumsphpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3030 from 2005 which covers the exact same problem for the identical model number.

The link from that thread is broken – hence this new query. It does allow me to ask:
a) Is the resolution (a Strix dual simmerswitch) still valid, or is there a newer solution?
b) Can I purchase the necessary part (whatever the solution) through this site?

Hi John,

Assuming it’s a dual regulator used on the grill then it’s this one:

There’s only two types used on that cooker a single circuit and a dual circuit and you will often find the same regulators used for hotplates and grills.

Spare part arrived very promptly, and easily fitted – once I’d managed to deduce how to remove the ceramic top.

John, Any chance you could advise me how to remove the ceramic top ?. I have a similar problem and can’t figure out how to get into the back of the control panel without wrecking the top !
