ParticipantThe grill is working intermittently – both single and double. Thinking it
was a switch contact problem I stripped it all out, took switch apart and everything seemed OK,boxed it all up working, finished putting it back together (top on etc) and now not workingagain although the fan is working and not affected!Could there be an intermittent fault on the grill wiring itself
Anyone got a clue where to start looking next!

It will be the energy regulator at fault.

Hi Penguin 45,
Thanks for your reply, you sound very sure that its the energy regulator,
next question of course, is would you know where I could get one for this model, and what sort of price is it.
I havent a clue where to find it on the cooker, luckily its the first time I have had to take it apart, but like most of these things, any info is a help
Hope you might be able to help again, and regards to the Soviet Republic
(of Yorkshire )
Cheers

The energy regulator is the control, you have five of them, four for the hotplates and one for the grill.
Part number is 6204036, this number differs from the one shown in our Shop@ HERE but they should be interchangable. It does list it as a hob plate switch but the same one is used for the grill control.

:offtopic: Your username intrigues me, are we talking tractors or Bosch power tools. If its the former I’ll bet you have never seen a DB Cropmaster. 😉

Hi Iadom,
Thanks for the explanation of “energy generator”, why not call it a hob switch like most people!
All ordered and paid for, so could possibly have grilled bangars and tomatoes next week.
thanks again

(sorry Jim, no combine or Bosch experience, other than selling power tools in a previous life. 766 is part of my old service number, which you never forget, but it is a bit of a give away re age!!)July 4, 2008 at 4:53 pm #256791iadom

Not a thermostat as such, but equally not a ‘switch’. 😉 😀
