Creda condenser dryer

Hi I have a creda condenser dryer the drum isn’t Turning and checked belt which is all ok and motor seems to want to turn but it’s as if there’s to much weight in it to turn the drum but actually there’s nothing in it so just wondering anyone got any diagnosis for it.

motor capacitor most likely. if you turn on with the top off and give the drum a push is should turn

you will have to find it and get the value this one is 7uF which is most likely

Have you had your dryer modified as per the safety recall notice info here ? If you haven’t had the mod done the advice Hotpoint have given is the machine should not be used until the mod has been carried out.
