I have an old Creda 47916 dishwasher which has served me well.. Its well overdue to be changed, but since its ‘Semi-Integrated’ its going to be tricky to get one to fit in my kitchen, so I want to keep the old girl running as long as possible.
On a few occasions recently, I have unloaded it and then noticed that the ‘selector’ has stopped mid-program, but I thought nothing about it.
Today I had a particularly messy wash, so put it on setting 2 and let it run.
A couple of hours later, i went out and found it stopped on the 2nd rince.. So I clicked it one notch and just as it turned, I heard the ‘rince’ start and then immediatly stop.
From what I can gather, it seems that not only is it jamming at that point, but it also looks like its not doing the rince when it clicks over..
I am assuming that I need a new ‘selector’, but I wonder if its cost effective? If I do go down this route, is it easy to fit? I have fitted a new element in the past, as well as replacing the door springs, so I do know the internals fairly well.
I look forwards to your thoughts
