CREDA Double Oven 48149V

Hi All

Fitted two stats to the top oven but customer keeps complaining the the oven is 20 degrees hotter than it should be.
have checked with a digital thermometer and it reaches 240 degrees when the oven dial only reads max 220
any ideas please

Dose it reach the 240 degrees on the first heat up and dose it maintain that temp constant.?

Most stats have a differential setting so most heat over on first run before settling down to chosen temp.

This stops the stat cutting on/off constantly.

It reaches 240 on the first heat up, drops to 220 then cuts in raises to 240 and maintains it

As A1 says all stats overshoot required temp, to check temp you have to to take readings of a couple of cut outs and cut ins and work out average temp and you will find you are there or there about+or – 5 to 10′ C which is acceptable.
