    Hello!

I’ve got a problem with my built in dishwasher and I’m hoping SKS will point me inthe right direction.

It’s a Creda Ecowash and it has started getting stuck at the rinse mode, about 10 days ago, and it always sticks there now but can be moved on. OH then had it sticking between rinse & drying but I haven’t had that problem but now it is sticking at the wash mode (last 2 runs have had this) too, just after it fills up. Again after being moved on manually it runs ok until it gets to rinse and needs nudged on again.

I wasn’t planning to get a new dishwasher at the mo and would like to eek out a bit more life in this one, as it washes ok….despite the manual move ons.

Any ideas on what I could do to fix it? 💡

    Many thanks for reading.

    LM 😉

    Hi,

1/ Please find the model number – usually around the edge of the door somewhere. Ecowash doesn’t tell us anything.
2/ Does it heat the water?

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

    Hi Penguin 45,

A model number would help wouldn’t it 😳

Have found the following numbers for you from the side of the door.

    Model No 47908
    No: 22146228

I believe it to be heating the water as we’re still getting the steam coming out when we open it at the end of the cycle and it’s cleaning everything ok.

    Best wishes

This is one of the old Bosch-based machines.

Timer stops to heat the water – thermostat must complete the circuit to restart the timer, so possibly one of the thermostats. These machines were also prone to wiring loom breakages in the door, near the pivot point – if one of the wires were from the thermostat to the timer, that would keep the timer stopped.

Power off if you plan to investigate; or click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area if you are unsure how to proceed.
