I have an old Creda Cameo electric cooker.
Just recently, using either of the two large rings causes the power to trip out.
This does not happen when using the smaller rings, grill or oven.

    Any ideas anyone ❓

    Thanks,

Yeah, the two larger rings both have an earth leakage fault and need to be replaced. I would imagine they are the spiral type, if so, not an expensive or difficult repair.

Someone here should be able to help if you need them fitted, just let us know your postcode.

    Dave.

Thanks Dave, yes they are the spiral type.

I’m sure I can manage the replacement, but I don’t understand why both rings can develop the same fault at the same time?!
Do they share a control unit/power regulator?

    Thanks again,

The controls for each hotplate probably share the same live supply? Only a full check with an insulation tester will therefore locate the source. Time to get an expert in to check it for you 😉
