Hi, Does anyone know how to removed this Fan. I have taken the lock nut off the front but the fan still does not come off. The Motor is shot so I have to replace the motor but if I cannot get the fan off that’s the end of that.
    Thanks

The fan is retained by an olive (or compression) fitting. The more you try and pull the fan forwards, the tighter it gets. Most professional repairers have a small “puller” that will do the job; however in your own case you will have to douse the fan centre with WD40 and after waiting a while see if you can drive the fan BACK, away from the olive. If it goes, the olive can be easily removed and it will all come apart.

    Needless to say, power off………..

…and a good tip is to use emery paper to clean the shaft after you knock the fan back and before you pull it forwards and off 😉

You have to knock the fan back it has a taper locking collet.
