hi guys went to machine put belt back on put on a rince and spin. when going into spin machine started to shake. so suspension gone do you have to take front out of machine to replace. or can the be replaced from underneath. plus the bearings may not be healthy.

when spinning belt moving on flywheel. and when turned feels gritty does the suspension wear or can the attchment on the drum wear as well and cause movement. 🙂 thanks fasetester

remove belt then spin drum by hand should sound smooth just like spining a bike wheel if it grinds then bearing are your problem suspension does not cause problems yes you do have to remove front to to fit them

Just make sure it is a screwed drum and not a welded one. 😉

thanks guys for reply would the bearings cause the drum on spin to wreck and jerk. had to stop the machine as the machine was moving all over the place i thought a fault suspension would cause this the tub to twist fasetester.

    Re: creda excell

The suspension units don’t give much trouble on these but the suspension pegs do come adrift occasionally.

Experience says that if the bearings are so bad that the belt has come adrift then it may well already be BER. You would be unlikely to get the bearings out and would need a drum support and a drum rear half at the very least.

Have you have checked to see if it is the screwed drum and not the welded one?
