its the shaft length that set these apart plus the tail for the rear cooling fan

dont know of anything else that will fit

Thanks for your reply – even though it is bad news.

It would be a shame to dump the whole oven for one part.

I am fairly capable of modifying things, including extending a shaft by welding.

If you have any suggestions for anything that might work (possibly without a rear fan) please let me know.

Can you confirm that a 2 wire motor should work with the third wire left off. The oven heats with all 3 wires disconnected, so I assume it would work with 2?
Or maybe with a fan connected in parallel with the heating elements?

My mum is currently using only the top oven, but a bit difficult for her to reach.

If the fan opening in lower oven was blocked off, how inefficient might the bottom oven be?

from memory there was a cutout in the motor that shut off the element if the motor overheated

if you are good with mod it should be fairly easy to find another motor that will work. most motors are not on rubber mounts as yours is and can be directly bolted to a plate at at the rear. you would have to make the rear hole smaller to stop heat drying out the motor bearing

a lot of them come with a new fan as the old one you have probably wont go on the shaft

you would need to do some measuring as to the shaft length required remembering you will have to ditch the existing frame and mount it directly

    Thanks for the update.

I might end up buying another oven as there are too many uncertainties about dimensions which might be difficult to sort out online. If I coul dwalk into a store with the motor it might be easier.
