Creda fan oven not heating up

I have a Creda Europa solarplus oven model E010EW. When I was cooking tea tonight I had it set on its highest setting warming up nicely. Then after about 10mins I realised the whole thing had gone off. After working out it had thrown the fuse switch I reset it, hoping it would be fine. Grill works, light works,fan works but oven not getting hot. 5 years ago (almost to the day!) I posted the same problem and you very helpfully advised I got a new element, which I did and fitted it myself 😀 it worked fine until today. Am I right in assuming this is likely to be the same problem again and my replacement element has lasted exactly 5 years or could it be the thermostat? The element is only £20 so would replacing it be as good a way as any to test to see if this is the problem?

Thanks, out of interest. How long would you expect an element to last – is 5 years good bad or average?

Depends on use but 5 years is quite good.

Thanks for your help. Got new element put it in myself. Oven good as new 😀 Even cleaned it!
