right lads another one for you
was called out to this dryer and customer says it does not dry clothes so i asked does it dry them at all or not even heat she says no heat so i took off back checked stats both fine put back together tryed it and roberts your mothers brother we have heat so i left
following day she calls back it is still the same so i dragged it to my workshop on further inspection the machine will heat up will tumble but it does not dry very well at all half a load of spun towels in for 3 hours still very damp
so i cant find any blockages the element heats up ok i changed the stats above it with new ones just to be sure still same problem half heat button works fine it is as if the machine is cutting on and off on a completely different temp then normal and never getting fully warm
any ideas
i am going to go try and find out if there is another stat inside possibly on the exhaust or somewhere 😕

There is another thermostat at the front on the drum support (drum out to find) but also check the timer at the base of the machine, that can cause intermittent heat problems on these 😉

hi got tub out looking all over and eithe ri have my eyes shut or there is not stat on front mounting have traced all wires cant see anything at all
did i mention it was a condensor 😳
i dont think i did any other ideas?

i think i shall hang my head in shame just walked straight back into workshop for another bash and there winking at me is that bloody stat sorry to doubt you dave

ta dave all working now lady can have her dryer back on monday the stat was charred around the contacts so must have been intermitently cutting out thanx very much

You can see this stat quite easily from inside the door opening, can be changed from there by just pulling down a little if you are careful. No need to touch the drum.
