Are hi speed grill assemblies 6224727 and 6101897 interchangeable.
Masterpart showed the newer type for a 49723 cooker and when we got it to the customer its the older type thats needed. If they are it saves a return (and the customer about£60 😯 )

    They’re physically different

    6224727 is 380x400mm and 6101897 is 370x375mm

In theory I suppose as the cheaper one is smaller it may be “coaxed” in there somehow, never tried myself though 😉

Cheaper one can be put in, from memory i think the enamel guard/bracket on the original does not fit the new one. Holes have to be made in roof of top oven for self tapping screws to mount it. I’ve found using a sharp bradawl & tap of hammer makes small holes & self tapping screws will then srew in . Saves a packet as one of these grill elements is £100 rrp while other is £40ish rrp..

    Yup, worked a treat
Hacksawed off the front crosspiece of the old grill assembly to use as a bracket, as the only difference in fitting is that the front two retainers are missing on the new.
My good deed for the day.
