Hi, this machine has started leaking during wash cycle starting with filling. I suspect either the dispenser hose where it joins the outer chamber casing or the front seal. To remove the front to inspect will mean releasing the front seal from either the front panel or drum chamber, which will surely leak when you put it back! Does anybody know these machines and had any experience of leaks? Thanks

having difficulty finding a breakdown for this one although model seems correct

if you post the other numbers from the label in the door that will give us a commercial code to be able to see how its built

early models the front casing come off later ones are welded. early hoses use a clip later ones clip into the drum but can be done without stripping the drum

    a few photos might help

Removing the seal from either side shouldn’t cause a leak on any type of machine if it is then refitted correctly. 😉

Commercial code is 033537 but doubt if that will throw anything up for you Dave?.

This machine must be quite old now, looking at the parts breakdown it is hard to be sure but it could either be a Smeg, or worse still a Siltal made appliance, both of which are a nightmare to work on, especially the Siltal. Either way over 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the parts are obsolete. 🙁

Difficult to tell from the diagrams but it is possible the front panel is removable.??

If you can remove the front panel then releasing the seal lip from the front panel is the correct way to proceed.

Looking at these pictures the dryer fan motor assembly does have a look of the Bosch/Smeg made machines?

Thanks guys. The diagram is useful, what I couldn’t find. I’ll decide whether to dismantle and look for the cause or scrap it. There are two types of front seal, one is NLA. These will surely be for either the Smeg or Siltal built versions. Ciao
