    Hi
    Can anyone advise please?
Creda 600 Carefree Program electric cooker (fairly elderly!).
Lower oven has recently developed a fault: it starts fine, heats up for a while (to a temperature of between 50-100°) then stops heating. Fan also stops at the same moment, though oven light and indicator light remain lit.
Any suggestions please? I recently cleaned the cooker thoroughly, involving a minimum of dismantling, and replaced all the seals – fault developed a few days later.
    Thanks v much
    Mark

Full model number would help, ( 49711 by any chance ) sounds like a faulty oven stat, door switch can also fail under load.

Please isolate from mains if you intend to have a look. Stats for oven are fairly expensive on this machine.

Thanks for the advice 🙂 Model number 49708. I’ll try to have a look at stat & doorswitch when I get a moment.

Not really much to ‘look at’ on a thermostat. Part number is 6224366, around £45 + Vat .

probably more than value of cooker then 😥 perhaps time to think of scrapping it
