ParticipantCreda Continental double fan oven circa 1998 – 2000. Secondary/outer door on main oven jams at the bottom when opening all the way and “springs” off the 2 bottom pegs. Refixed door pegs in holes with grommets, screwed the screws in at the top (one on left and one on right). Fouls at the bottom every time. When viewed from the side the outer glass looks to stand off perhaps a little too far. Have instructed my suffering wife to lift and pull in the meantime. Possible causes ?? Anybody help?

We’re going to need the model number for this please, it should be on the rating plate around the door(s)
Thanks.

Only numbers I can get from the rating plate are: 1035436. Fitted double oven, white digital clock on top right. Supplied by B & Q.
Just tried the door again. Pull it open and the bottom fouls and the glass outer springs because the pegs are forced out of the grommets it seems. Can’t see anything broken or stuck. When fully opened the door does not like to stay horizontal.April 20, 2006 at 10:21 pm #173336Dave_Conway

It sounds as if the lower door glass brackets have come unglued to me making the glass swing outwards at the bottom fouling the cavity.
Where you found the 103…. number is where the model will also be, it may be obscured by the door seal and will be called a “spec” number quite often.
Although you may just need to reglue the door brackets to the glass if you remove the door and have a closer look 🙂

Number above that ser no which is under the door rubber is obliterated. Door brackets solid in their adhesive still – absolutely no movement.

In that case it can only be the hinges, taking a photo of the oven and posting a link to it here may help identify the model more accurately 🙂
