ParticipantI have a Creda Reflections Double Oven (Built in type) and the lights that illuminate the temperature selection for the grill and the ovens are not lighting up. The clock is working and so are the lights that indicate the oven has reached the selected temperature.
What I would like to know is:
How to access the lights?
What type of lights are they?
Is it easy to access them?
Is it a job for a DIYer?Thanks.

Colin, it will be a flourescent tube behind the glass control panel normally which involoves removing all the knobs etc and the glass panel, the tube should be behind there.
If you can post the model number I should be able to identify which tube you will need as Creda used a couple of different types.
Make sure it’s switched off and isolated from the main supply 1st before attempting any repairs !
Regards.

Ah, it’s built in double oven then which may make things a little trickier.
The knobs just pull off as do the timer butttons, the glass should then be able to be removed by removing the outer glass trim, screws could be anywhere to be honest, if you’re unsure, I would get an engineer to do it for you.
The tube looks like a 13w mini fourescent as is the norm for these cookers.

ParticipantThere are a number of screws around the the control panel so I will see which release the panel
I am a bit concerned about the timer control buttons as they do not seem to come off easily and I do not want break them. Is there a knack to doing this.Where can I source the bulbs?
Thanks.

Yeah, pull ’em, they will come off. Grip the button with your forefinger and thumb then tug.

There’s only one tube, I can get you one if required, let me know the wattage and length when you have got the panel off and drop me an email.
